TWO NEW SPA FLOORS
In May 2026, Varbergs Kusthotell unveiled the first phase of its new spa. Welcome to two spectacular new spa floors, renovated in harmony with the building’s architecture and history. The original ceiling heights and spacious rooms have been restored, allowing light to stream through the large windows and flow throughout the building. Just outside, you’ll find three new heated outdoor pools—and, of course, the sea. A place where a rich heritage meets a new era, and where you’ll want to linger.
NEW OUTDOOR BATHS
We have now opened three new outdoor baths in our spa. Take a dip in the sea, then sink into the warm water and unwind. The outdoor baths are open to all spa guests.
SPA LOUNGE WITH NORDIC AFTERNOON TEA
Fancy something to eat between saunas and swims? Book our Nordic afternoon tea, created in collaboration with Dan Bakstudio. Served in the spa lounge on the new third floor.
COLD BATH HOUSE BY THE PIER
Step into the warmth and enjoy the steam sauna, the gentle pause sauna at a comfortable 50°C, or the hot sauna kept at 80°C. From the jetty just outside the cold bath house, the perfect way to end your sauna session is with a plunge into the sea. We promise—you won’t regret the dip or the rush of adrenaline that follows.
SAUNAS AT DIFFERENT TEMPERATURES
Four new sauna experiences have opened on the new second spa floor. Settle onto the benches in Forest, Sea or Blossom, or lie back on the rock-inspired stone loungers in the Stone sauna. Here, the lower temperature warms you slowly—like resting on sun-warmed rocks after a dip in the sea, only all year round.
BETWEEN DIPS AND SAUNAS
Visit the orangeries on spa floors two and three, where you’ll find a selection of snacks, drinks, tea, coffee and wines from our house list. With something delicious to enjoy, you can linger longer and discover everything our spa has to offer.
OUR LARGEST POOL
The sea lies just a stone’s throw west of the hotel entrance. Slip into your robe and slippers for a short stroll down to the jetty and sandy beach. The water temperature follows the natural rhythm of the seasons.

Everyone is welcome at the spa at Varbergs Kusthotell, but you must be at least 13 years old.
